Terms of Use
Last updated 29 October 2026
Scope and current availability
These terms describe use of the Clipmere app and this website, including licences bought through the Waffo-hosted checkout. Clipmere 1.0.0 is the planned first release. Questions about these terms can be sent to the Clipmere team. If you do not agree to the applicable terms, do not install or use a supplied build.
Permission to use
You may use an official build supplied to you within its evaluation period or the device-seat allowance of a valid licence, subject to the conditions supplied with that build. This permission does not transfer ownership of the software or grant rights to publish, sell or redistribute it. Source-code access is governed by its separate licence, not by an app activation key.
Trial and activation
Current builds provide a 7-day trial. After it ends, new capture and direct pasting require activation; existing history remains viewable, copyable and exportable, subject to retention settings. Image hosting requires activation. Trial expiry itself does not delete your history.
Trial timing is recorded locally, including in macOS Keychain. Activation and periodic renewal contact the licence service with a key and device information. Cached tokens have an expiry and a limited grace period; access can stop when that period ends or a licence is revoked. Deactivation releases a seat once the server receives it.
Purchases and refunds
Paid licences are sold through Waffo Pancake, which acts as merchant of record. Waffo hosts the checkout, collects the payment and handles applicable taxes. The price, currency and tax are shown on the checkout page before you pay, and Clipmere does not receive your full card number.
A licence key is issued after the payment is confirmed and is shown on the success page of this website. Keep it private; activation is limited to the device seats of that licence.
Refunds and chargebacks are handled through Waffo under its published policy and the rights your local consumer law gives you. Contact support if a payment succeeded but no key arrived. Nothing on this page promises lifetime updates or removes statutory consumer rights.
Your content and responsible use
You retain your rights in content you store. Only capture, synchronize or upload material you are entitled to use, and consider confidential information and other people's personal data. Do not use the software to infringe rights or break applicable law. See the Privacy Policy for how the features handle data.
Software and third-party rights
Rights in Clipmere's software, branding and website remain with their respective rightsholders. Third-party libraries and system services remain subject to their own licences and terms; their required notices must be preserved. Except where applicable law permits otherwise, an app licence does not authorize copying, modifying or distributing the source code, artwork or branding. It does not grant rights in third-party material.
System requirements and external services
Clipmere targets macOS 26 or later. Some features require system permissions, a supported signed build, network access or an account with your chosen provider. Apple iCloud and any storage service you configure have their own availability, charges and terms. Their continued availability is not guaranteed by Clipmere.
The app includes an update-checking mechanism. A configured feed is not a promise of an available update or of a particular release schedule. Public release details will be listed on this website.
Data safety and limitations
Clipmere is a convenience tool, not a backup service or a guarantee that sensitive content will never be captured. Keep independent backups. Retention settings, deletion, storage failures or synchronization can affect what remains available.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available, without additional warranties. Liability limitations apply only where the law allows them and do not exclude non-excludable consumer rights or liability.
Stopping use and changes
You may stop using Clipmere at any time. Deactivate your licence before uninstalling if you need to free a device seat. Uninstalling alone does not necessarily remove local records, Keychain items or copies held by cloud providers. If a licence is revoked for misuse, you may contact support to dispute an error.
These terms may change as the service develops. The date above identifies this version; material changes will be described on this site. Mandatory notice and consent requirements remain governed by applicable law.
